Hoe Toa is the Maori translation of “Champions Paddle”, and is a celebration of New Zealand paddling for tane (men), wahine (women) and tamariki (children) of all ages and abilities. No matter whether you’re just getting the hang of it, or you’re a seasoned pro, this is your chance to get more involved in the emerging sport of stand up paddling, meet and paddle with NZ’s very own World Champions, smash your personal SUP goals and see how you measure up in the national rankings. It’s also the major qualifying event for paddlers wishing to represent NZ at the 2018 ISA World Championships in Brazil.
Featuring eight different paddleboard races over two days (from 1km to 20km in length), Flo Yoga workshops, Master Classes with Elite Athletes, Free Board Demos, a Sponsor Expo, food trucks, beer garden and live music overlooking the beautiful golden sand Orewa beach, Hoe Toa is all about family, community, friendship and good sportsmanship.
OFFICIAL RACE SHIRT
The first 300 entrants will receive a free Hoe Toa 2018 Sharkskin hi-vis race vest.
Unisex shirt size can be selected during online registration. It is compulsory for all paddlers to wear the Official Race Shirt whilst competing.
